Item Aspectos importantes na anestesia de Lagomorfos(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2017-09-30) OLIVEIRA, Amabily R. Ramos de; PASSINI,Ynara; PAGANI, Caroline de Paula; HATSCHBACH, EduardoThe wild animal clinic has been growing significantly, especially in the lagomorph clinic, because these animals are no longer handled only for experiments, the food industry and hunting. Today, they are considered family members and their guardians are concerned about safety and well-being during clinical, surgical and anesthetic procedures, which are constantly performed for preventive medicine and treatments. Therefore, it is very important to know the anatomy and physiology of this species, as well as the important aspects that should be taken during anesthesia and which are the most used drugs, aiming at greater safety for these patients. Although there is a shortage of secure information for pet rabbits, it is possible to develop appropriate protocols and define the most important points that should be followed during anesthesia.Item Anaplasma Platys em felino: relato de caso(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2017-09-30) LUIZ, Ana Carolina de Souza; SILVA, Ana Carolina S. da; ALBERTO, Maryna V. LançaAnaplasmosis is a condition that can affect small and large animals. It is a disease caused by hemoparasite bacteria that attacks white cells. Anaplasma platys is an obligate intracellular gram negative bacterium that when inoculated in the hopedeiro, usually through a vector such as a hematophagous ectoparasite, can lead to thrombocytopenia, among other serological disorders. The infection caused by this parasite can lead to anemia, fever, lethargy and emesis, the treatment being the use of tetracycline antibiotics. The main form of diagnosis is through serology. It was reported the case of a male cat, of no defined breed, affected by such disease.Item Anemia infecciosa equina: AIE(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2017-09-30) OLIVEIRA, Bruna Louise Borges de; CIPPOLLINI, Raissa Biondi; MENDES, Bianca Elisa; PARISI, Celina Marchi; RODRIGUES, Karen Kristine da Silva; TOCCI, Paola Schoiff Castaldi; KIILLER, Mayara; PINTO, Maristela PimentelEquine Infectious Anemia (EIA) is a chronic infectious disease caused by Lentivirus of the Retroviridae family, limited to horses, donkeys and mules, characterized by periodic episodes of fever, jaundice, hemolytic anemia, depression, edema and weight loss. The etiological agent is transmitted mainly through tabanid bites (Tabanus sp) and stable flies (Stomoxys calcitrans), which are the mechanical vectors. Transmission is common during warm times of the year and in wet and marshy regions. The diagnosis is made by the Agar Gel Immunodiffusion Test (IDGA), considered the test of the world choice. In Brazil, animals seropositive to the IDGA test are sacrificed, as established by the National Equine Health Program of the Ministry of Agriculture.Item Análise econômica da mastite no rebanho leiteiro(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2017-09-30) SILVA, Marilia Martins da; MARTINS FILHO, Luiz PauloMastitis is the infection and / or inflammation of the mammary gland, a disease that causes the greatest damage to the dairy sector. Its economic analysis aims to estimate the impact caused by the disease on the economic performance of the dairy farm. In the case of bovine mastitis, losses due to clinical cases are more easily perceived by the producer, since clinical signs are evident and the milk produced is discarded. On the other hand, estimating the losses and expenses associated with cases of subclinical mastitis is not so evident when compared to clinical cases, mainly because this disease does not cause visual changes in cow's milk or udder.Item Aspectos clinico patológicos e alterações laboratoriais do linfoma multicêntrico canino: uma breve revisão de literatura(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2017-09-30) BERALDO, Mariana Ramos Andrade; FRanco, Débora Quioqueti de Souza; VARZIM, Fernanda L. S. B.; PULZ, Lidia HildebrandLymphoma is a neoplasm characterized by proliferation of malignant lymphoid cells, which can develop in any organ, initially affecting lymph nodes, spleen and liver. Its cause is not well understood, but it is believed in multifactorial etiology, genetic factors, immune deficiency and chemical carcinogens. There are four anatomical classifications for lymphoma: multicenter, digestive, mediastinal and extranodal, and 80% of cases in dogs are multicenter lymphomas. The diagnosis is based on cytological, histological and molecular biology analyzes, which help establish the prognosis of the animal considering the degree of lymphoma malignancy and the cell type of origin. Laboratory tests such as hematological and biochemical profile provide data for animal follow-up, disease involvement and staging. In view of the above, it is clear that lymphoma is a very important condition in dogs, and the reduction of the theoretical basis in relation to the clinical presentation of lymphoma is able to establish a successful bridge for both the clinician with alterations capable of generate an early diagnosis, both for the patient regarding their quality of life and survival.Item Anestesia perineural de membro torácico para diagnóstico de claudicação equina(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2017-09-30) PAGANI, Caroline de Paula; CHIARADIA, Giovana Baggio; BONFANTE, Juliana Silva; HATSCHBACH, Eduardo; GRIGOLETTO, RenanNowadays the alterations of the locomotor system in horses have been growing, since, increasingly, they are exposed to sports activities. However, the impact remains of great relevance to its good performance, being often the exact place of limb involvement that is difficult to diagnose. The purpose of perineural block for the diagnosis of lameness is to provide analgesia to a limb region, causing the animal to temporarily decrease lameness, provided that this anesthetized region is responsible for lameness, thus allowing the location of the probable thirst. injury, which may be investigated by other ancillary methods in order to complete the diagnosis.Item Caracterização da matriz extracelular placentária do camundongo Mus musculus através da microscopia de luz(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2017-09-30) ARAÚJO, Matheus Guilherme de Souza; DELGADO, Ana Lídia Jacintho; MANÇANARES, Celina Almeida Furlanetto; BORGHESI, Jéssica; FAVARON, Phelipe de OliveiraThe placenta is an important structure for mammals and is responsible for making gas, excreta and metabolite exchanges between the fetus and the mother. Humans and rodents share the same placental type, a hemochorial discoid placenta. Advances in the field of tissue bioengineering have been made using the extracellular matrix of the human placenta as scaffolds, it is believed that just like the human placenta the mouse placenta can also be used as biological material for grafting and tissue recovery. This research aims to make a morphological analysis of the extracellular matrix of the mouse placenta in order to better understand this structure and its function.Item Anestesia de HEDGEHOG (ATELERIX ALBIVENTRIS) para diagnóstico radiográfico de coluna vertebral: relato de caso(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2017-09-30) PASSINI, Ynara; OLIVEIRA, Amabily Raquel Ramos de; PAGANI, Caroline de Paula; HATSCHBACH, EduardoNowadays it is becoming more common for people to adopt as pets, exotic animals, increasing the occurrence rate of several diseases due to mismanagement or even lack of knowledge about the species. In this context the Veterinarian should always be updated on exotic animal medicine, which among the various exotic species is the African Pygmy Hedgehog (Atelerix albiventris). This report describes the case of an African pygmy hedgehog, with signs of motor incoordination, which underwent inhalation anesthesia for better positioning for radiographic projections, thus resulting in the diagnosis of the possible cause of incoordination.Item Anestesia total intravenosa em equinos submetidos a procedimentos a campo(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-09-30) CHIARADIA, Giovana Baggio; PAGANI, Caroline de Paula; BONFANTE, Juliana da Silva; HATSCHBACH, EduardoTotal intravenous anesthesia in equine species as well as field procedures are currently gaining ground in veterinary medicine because they prove to be safe, practical and low cost procedures, making it feasible without having to move the animal to specialized centers containing anesthesia devices. inhalation. Thus, it ensures diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures such as castrations, tenotomies, splint removal and repair of lacerations in a safe manner for the animal and the acting Veterinarian, remembering that it is extremely important to be aware of the place to be performed. In a way that is comfortable and maintains the physical integrity of the animal, the drugs of choice as well as doses and concentrations for smooth and stress-free recovery and injury, patient monitoring is critical as the animal will not be intubated or given ventilatory support.
