Item Relato de caso de teratologia em avestruz(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) OLIVIERI, Daniela Liliane; MELLO, Eduardo Castanheira de; FERREIRA, Guilherme J. B.C.; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; ALVES, Jefferson Douglas SoaresTeratology is the study of the causes, mechanisms and manifestations of deviations in both structural and functional development, embryos that were useful in the studies of a series of these anomalies and this work seeks to contribute in some way, reporting a rare case that in Brazil has not yet been described. For this case report, an animal (bird Struthio camelus) was used that had an embryonic malformation and presented with two columns, a trachea, an esophagus and the joined body, but with duplication of the limbs including the wing.Item Apoptose na placenta do búfalo(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) PEREIRA, Flávia Thomaz Verechia; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; PETRONI, Natália Luiza; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; DAGLI, Maria Lúcia ZaidanThe ruminant placenta has a very uniform macroscopic structure, based on specialized areas of apposition and proliferation of maternal fetal membranes: the placentones (LEISER et al, 1994; LEISER et al, 1997a; LEISER et al, 1997b). Showing a fundamental role for the success of pregnancy, these structures have been extensively studied in several species of domestic animals of commercial interest. In these areas of contact between mother and fetus, apoptosis (programmed cell death) occurs, appearing with 7-10 months of pregnancy, however the pregnancy of the buffalo is 10 months and apoptosis is visualized in these late stages of pregnancy.Item Morfologia da placenta canina(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) AMBRÓSIO, Carlos Eduardo; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; FERREIRA, Guilherme J. B.C.; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; ROSA, Ricardo AlexandreThe placenta of SRD dogs was studied through macro, microscopic anatomy and scanning electron microscopy, analyzing the maternal and fetal vascular systems. It was classified as complete annular zonary, endothelial and lamellar with marginal hematomas in the extension of the margins of the placental brace. The vascularization of the organ is carried out by funicular vessels, branches, central placental and other, chorionic placental. Ventrally to the fetus, the remnant of the highly vascularized yolk sac is evident, characterizing the ventral choriovitheline placenta. Marginal hematomas were considered blood lakes arranged in contact with the trophoblast giving blood leakage originating from the maternal vessels, determining erythrophagositis and iron endocytosis. Placental microvascularization determines the lamellar classification of the canine placenta. At the fetal maternal interface, there are fetal capillaries arranged in a basket shape and maternal capillaries in the form of '' tufts of hair '' interspersed with gapsItem Estudos macro e microscópicos da glândula pineal de Kerodon rupestris(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) THOMAZ, Juliana M.; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; ESTEVES, Alessandra; FERREIRA, Guilherme J. B.C.The pineal gland, in some mammals, is considered a complex instead of a single organ, being responsible for secreting melatonin, a hormone that triggers the puberty awakening and controls circadian cycles. Macroscopically, we obtained a pineal gland darker than the brain, in the form of a rod, extending from the habenular commissure to the dura mater and located between the rostral colicles, in the median portion of the brain. Histologically, it was similar to other rodents, with pinealocytes, secretory cells, glial support cells and limestone concretions.Item Qualidade microbiológica da água no município de Aguaí, Estado de São Paulo(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) VALIAS, Ana Paola Gonçalves dos Santos; ROQUETO, Marco Antônio; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; VULPINI, Cátia Monteiro; THOMÉ, Helder Esteves; LEME, Ligiane de Oliveira; LEITE FILHO, Lúcio OliveiraWater samples were taken from shallow wells and springs from 32 rural properties in Aguaí-SP, from a total of 75 selected properties. The municipality was divided into five sectors, where samples are being collected during the rainy and dry seasons. A microbiological research was carried out through analyzes for total and fecal coliforms using the multiple tube model and total count of heterotrophic microorganisms in samples collected in the dry period (Sep / Oct.01), in which high levels of contamination were found of water in disagreement with the standards of the Ministry of Health - Brazil.Item Estudo morfológico sobre testículos do tatu galinha(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) LIMA, Marcelo C. de; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; AMBRÓSIO, Carlos Eduardo; BONATELLI, MarinaAnatomically, the testicles were located in the hypogastric, intra abdominal region in a longitudinal cranial - caudal position with an oval shape. The epididymis was found in the dorsal mid region of the testis DYCE et al (1997). The right testicle weighed 6.48 g and the left 6.23 g; they respectively measured 3.1 cm and 3.4 cm in length and 2.6 cm and 2.6 cm in width, showing a certain regularity in shape and size. The right epididymis measured 8.5 cm and the left 6.0 cm. Microscopically the testicular structures found were similar to those of other animals with characteristic germinal epithelium (spermatogonia, spermatocytes of 1st and 2nd order and spermatoids). Leydig cells were observed in large numbers.Item Estudo do desenvolvimento prostático em cães neonatos da raça Rotweiller(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) LIMA, Marcelo C. de; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; BANDARRA, Enio P.; LAUFER, Renne; BONATELLI, MarinaFour Rotweiller dog prostates were used, neonates analyzed macro and microscopically. They were anatomically positioned, caudally after the urinary bladder, entering the pelvic bone. They showed a tissue mass surrounding the pelvic urethra. They had two wolves measuring 0.9 cm long and 0.6 cm wide, with a volume of 0.82 ml, and weight 0.80 g. Histologically, the prostatic body was covered by connective tissue and tubule - alveolar portions were observed whose alveoli were covered by an epithelium not yet defined. The stroma had dense non-modeled connective tissue surrounding the secretory portion and muscle fibers. Among the wolves, we observe the prostatic urethra.Item Caracterização macroscópica do funículo umbilical de búfalos(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) FERREIRA, Guilherme J. B.C.; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; AMBRÓSIO, Carlos Eduardo; MIGLINO, Maria A.; ROSA, Ricardo Alexandre; ESTEVES, Alessandra; THOMAZ, Juliana M.The umbilical funiculus is the organ that connects the fetus to the placenta where blood and excreta from the fetus pass. Arterial blood flows from the placenta to the fetus through the umbilical veins and venous blood through the arteries, the excretion is carried through the allantoic duct. In this study, nine fetuses were used, which had their funicles measured and dissected, in order to establish developmental correlations and describe their morphology. The funnel was rod-shaped, a parallel arrangement of the vessels in the fetal just portion and a standard ruminant arrangement in the just portion - placental and middle.
