This involves studies focused on animal husbandry for ruminants and non-ruminants, as well as the use of data linked to agricultural experimentation. The objective of the work involves a case study in which a group composed of agronomists were hired to develop a rural extension project for an agricultural production unit, in particular, in the present work, for a beef cattle production unit.

The purpose of this work is to prepare an essay study in the form of a 'rural extension project for an agricultural production unit' with the aim that the producer/owner receives a diagnosis regarding the activities currently carried out, and at the end, also receives proposals for improvement with income alternatives involving other productive activities, using the concepts covered in the disciplines.

The objective of this project was to carry out a survey and diagnosis on an agricultural production property and report its management practices, as well as suggest appropriate management practices. With these objectives in mind, we visited the Fazenda Velocita agricultural property, located on highway SP 342, Km 187, Nova Louzan, in the municipality of Mogi Guaçu.

The group visited a beef cattle producing property located in Mogi Guaçu – SP. Trade name FAZENDA VELOCITTA, corporate name FREC AGROPECUARIA LTDA, having an area of 1600 hectares located 185 km from São Paulo, with a staff of 60 employees. On the company's website there is information that the property promotes sporting activities such as motor racing, adventure sports, livestock farming and environmental conservation. It has a vast area of Atlantic Forest with rich biodiversity of fauna and flora. There is reference that the region has several springs, with 17 fully fenced lakes, and also has a mineral water source. More than 100,000 native tree seedlings were planted and a partnership was signed three years ago with the Onça Safari group.

A survey was carried out on the production of milk that is supplied to the Vila Minas Dairy, at Fazenda Cambuí, in Muzambinho/MG, where the farm has milk production and the purchase of milk produced by partner producers, the dairy is installed inside the Cambuí farm.

Currently, the cereal with the largest production in the world is corn, and in Brazil, 46% of its total production is destined for animal feed. In animal nutrition, corn is used to feed both ruminants and non-ruminants and, despite not having much protein, it is an excellent source of energy. Therefore, to ensure that corn crops achieve good productivity, it is important to provide macronutrients such as nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, calcium and magnesium in adequate quantities, as they are required in greater quantities by plants. Thus, aiming at sustainable advancement in animal nutrition together with maximizing corn production, this review examines the use of Corteva Agriscience's commercial biological inoculant Utrisha N®, developed with the exclusive strain of Methylobacterium symbioticum, a Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, rod-shaped bacterium, which aims to reduce the application of nitrogen fertilizers, promoting sustainable agriculture, since, in addition to fixing atmospheric nitrogen, the product stimulates plant growth, reducing the need for fertilizers by up to 50% in certain crops. Measures like this not only promote agricultural efficiency, but also minimize environmental impact, highlighting the importance of sustainable agricultural practices in the production of animal feed.

To develop our project, we carried out a technical visit at Fazenda Santa Cruz, located in the city of Andradas-MG, in the micro-region of Poços de Caldas. The region is characterized by being a territory that is 100% Atlantic Forest biome. The property has a total area of 110 hectares, and its main crop is coffee, with a planted area of 43 hectares. The property still contains corn production for silage with 13 hectares (currently leased) and another part for the production of corn for grain on 10 hectares (currently leased). For pasture, today we find 45 hectares on the property. The farm does not have a high technological level, citing an important fact which is the use of photovoltaic energy. The property does not have any strategic planning and controls management in a very outdated way. With the influence of the volcanic soil, the climate is characterized by being tropical at altitude.

This work analyzes the Condomio Rural Canto Porto - Fazenda Santo Antonio, located in the city of Mogi Mirim- SP. The Farm has 132 employees, 68 in milking, carried out 3 times a day with a production of 30.5 liters/cow/day, with 43000 liters/day. With the expansion, the goal is to reach production of 92,000 liters/day by 2026.

After a technical visit to a property in the municipality of Cássia dos Coqueiros - SP, focusing on beef cattle farming, observing points of improvement in general management issues (phytosanitary, nutritional, etc.), and in the structural survey aimed at the beef cattle existing on the property, in order to point out areas of improvement that can be better used, for a better development of activities, applying more efficient agronomic techniques, we seek to pass on some recommendations to the producer.

Sistema de Criação extensiva. Animais e Raças: O pecuarista cria 650 animais anuais. Descartados e renovados 50 animais por ano. Quando o produtor opta por adquirir novos animais, é feita a compra de novilhas já emprenhadas com genética 100% Nelore.
