The cardiovascular system is classified as a closed, complete, and dual system. Cardiovascular diseases represent the main cause of mortality and disability in Brazil and worldwide. A heart attack is a process of tissue death in part of the heart muscle due to lack of oxygen, due to obstruction of a coronary artery. Some causes of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) are: high blood pressure, smoking, high cholesterol, diabetes, sedentary lifestyle, family history, etc. Its main symptoms are: shortness of breath, tiredness, pallor, heart palpitations, shoulder/arm/back pain, dizziness, cold sweat, abdominal pain, sleeping difficulties and nausea/vomiting.

Sustainability, according to Verdugo (2010), can be presented as the balance between what is good for people and their communities and what is needed to maintain natural and social resources in order to guarantee the survival of human beings. Sustainable development is responsible for meeting the needs of the present, within ecological limits, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (BRUNDTLAND, 1991) For Tenório (2006) the objective of sustainable development is to grow economically through conservation of the environment and respect for the aspirations of social agents, contributing to improving the lives of the population.

In other words, its main purpose is to ensure the correct functioning of internal processes. In a laboratory, for example, the service provided in the morning will be the same performed in other shifts, performed by different professionals, that is, the SOP for the laboratory allows for greater predictability of results and minimizes variations caused by incompetence and randomness.
