The present work aimed to guide and assist Psychology students at the Higher Education Institution UNIFEOB, focusing on the challenges faced by a psychology professional in the legal area, since CREPOP is outdated. In view of these facts, research and interviews were carried out with professionals who work or have worked in the area, in order to exemplify and understand their points of view in the face of the challenges and difficulties in this area. For better guidance, a booklet was also created so that the understanding of this perspective could be transmitted in a playful and easy-to-understand manner.

The elderly phase of life is a critical period in human development, marked by physical and mental adversities that lead to significant behavioral changes. This period is marked by social, physical and psychological changes, requiring strategies that prioritize care and support for the elderly. Long-stay institutions (ILP) provide support and basic hygiene care, while also offering medical and psychological support. However, this environment can generate loneliness, sadness and lack of support, resulting in a higher incidence of depression. Therefore, it is essential to remodel the aging process and the elderly and give new meaning to the life story of these people, highlighting the importance of resilience throughout the process.
