    Technological advances have the important function of alleviating various challenges that act in the elaboration of structural projects for civil construction, such as software for simulations and advanced calculations, laser levelers, concrete vibrators, modern equipment, which help prevent failures and errors, from the design of the project to the purchase and use of materials, enabling efficient development when it comes to small and large works. We will deal here about the interdiction of a bridge located on the street Dr. Afonso Dias de Araújo, in the center of the city of Bandeira do Sul, on which - although the city has access to such technologies mentioned above - suffered pathologies in its structure due to political greed when trying to finish the work in the short term to inaugurate it still in the current mandate, which hurt the quality of the final result. The BNDS itself (www.bndes.gov.br, 2015) understands that solving infrastructure problems becomes a necessary condition for improving the well-being of the urban population, allowing everyone to have access to basic services such as electricity, communications, urban transport and sanitation. Related to this, the expansion of infrastructure promotes the consolidation of regional integration, reduces costs and promotes the growth of productivity and quality of goods and services of the productive structure.
