    Análise econômica da mastite no rebanho leiteiro

    Mastitis is the infection and / or inflammation of the mammary gland, a disease that causes the greatest damage to the dairy sector. Its economic analysis aims to estimate the impact caused by the disease on the economic performance of the dairy farm. In the case of bovine mastitis, losses due to clinical cases are more easily perceived by the producer, since clinical signs are evident and the milk produced is discarded. On the other hand, estimating the losses and expenses associated with cases of subclinical mastitis is not so evident when compared to clinical cases, mainly because this disease does not cause visual changes in cow's milk or udder.
