The first children's books appeared around the world in the 17th century. Before that, there were no stories aimed at children due to the lack of identification of childhood pre-established by society, and it is from the rise of the bourgeois family that the origin of children's literature begins, a period in which the child finally, starts to be considered a being that differs from the adult, with its own characteristics and needs, and literary works are produced especially for them. The classic fairy tales known until now were followed by the French writer Charles Perrault and his brothers, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. In Brazil, in 1920, the writer Monteiro Lobato -considered one of the main authors of children's stories in the country- launched his first book dedicated to the young audience.
