In 2020, the theme “Brazil wastes one day of school per week” was the subject of a survey carried out by BBC News Brasil. The World Bank evaluated 15,600 classrooms, more than half of them in Brazil (primary and high school classes in MG , PE and RJ), and calculated that, on average, only 64% of classroom time was spent delivering content, 20 percentage points below international standards. And this is due to poor time management within classrooms and, in particular, the time spent on oral calls.
