Aging will be, and already is, a hot topic in society due to the demographic changes that are taking place. With a greater number of elderly people in society, we see such relevance in addressing different aspects of this topic, and how awareness should be addressed in the hope of changing the way we see old age. From the focus on the meaning of life, which encompasses all aspects necessary for well-being, the importance of self-acceptance and the rescue of autonomy are essential for this and all phases of life. Family and social acceptance should also serve as a basis for a safe environment that enables autonomy and facilitates the work of stimulating neuroplasticity, since the human brain, contrary to what is commonly thought about advanced age, always presents the possibility of development. Based on this information, the study highlights the importance of individualized psychological work, in a multidisciplinary and awareness-raising partnership to seek a better quality of life.

The aging process is something natural for human beings and to be experienced in a better way and without causing negative changes in the subject's life, it is necessary to improve the individual's quality of life and internal and external care. It is noted that this stage of life is seen as a final stage and that it is not possible to experience new experiences, there is always judgment and exclusion from society. Socialization is important and essential in all stages of life, but in the face of studies, it is noticed that the elderly feel quite excluded from this environment, which is bad for their health, since in this way cognitive skills are not preserved and they may develop psychological illnesses such as anxiety and depression.

We grow, we mature, we build our lives, many changes occur and many people of our social conviviality end their trajectory. With this, it is possible to imagine that welcoming should be essential in the lives of the elderly, however, the common mistake we often make is to separate the elderly from society believing that they have nothing more to offer the population.

In the past, society sought to exclude the “different”, segregating them on the margins of society, but with the passage of time and the increase in studies and knowledge of human beings, it was observed the recklessness and lack of humanity in the exclusion of this public. . As a result, we see the need to break paradigms within our society, especially in the school environment, making it essential to study diversity and school inclusion to promote discussions and reflections on this very relevant topic. In addition, the present work is justified by the increasing search for representation of minorities in the most varied spaces, including schools, where prejudice and exclusion are present from an early age. Thus, this research has the general objective of disclosing the difficulties of including sexual, racial and cultural diversity in the process of school inclusion, as well as seeking awareness about these themes which, despite being known, are still scarce in terms of forms of interventions. Bibliographical research was used as a technical procedure, which was applied through scientific articles, Brazilian laws and decrees relevant to the research and afterwards, the technical and specialized language of the disciplines of Psychology and Pedagogy were carefully adapted for dissemination on the website created by the students of such disciplines. After the procedures mentioned above, it is expected to raise awareness about the existing diversities in the school context and the need for representation and inclusion for the members of these groups.

The concept of inclusion and its definition can often be interpreted superficially as being just an act of interaction between any person, an interpretation that makes this theme become the agenda of several discussions about the existence of inclusion in today's society or not. , a word that aims to include all people in a given environment, using equity for all, where even changes in the environment are foreseen, to guarantee an inclusive educational system without discrimination (Decree n° 7.611, 2011).

This publication aims to share the Integrated Project developed by students of the Pedagogy course at UNIFEOB in the Language Pedagogical Practice module, taken in the second semester of 2023. The course's curricular structure is composed of thematic modules that aim at the student's comprehensive development, that is, the improvement of specific knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to the course. In this way, by working on knowledge related to skills and attitudes, at the end of the course the student will have more autonomy to manage their professional life. Thus, during each academic semester, students develop the Integrated Project (IP), articulating knowledge and skills worked on in the study units with the guidance of a module professor, who leads and organizes this practice. The IP is, therefore, a teaching-learning didactic strategy whose objective is to materialize the interdisciplinarity between the knowledge covered during the course that allows the student to put into practice the skills that are intended to be developed in each module. The IP completion process provides support for students to develop skills related to the course's professional profile.
