    Psychological skills are today an area considered fundamental in the preparation of athletes for swimming competitions, in Brazil and worldwide. In general, the research carried out points to the beneficial effects of programs designed to get into the minds of athletes to understand how sport influences their daily lives, how it reveals their psychological and behavioral traits.
