    Ética na experimentação animal
(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2010-05-30) GARCIA, Cláudia Fernanda Ribeiro; HUCKE, Erica Engelberg Teixeira da Silva
The use of animals in scientific experimentation has been known since the dawn of humanity and has been driven by the constant search for knowledge. Thus, the use of laboratory animals has been of great importance in scientific and technological development, which culminated in discoveries of medicines, surgical procedures, among others, improving the living conditions of people and animals. However, the scientific community has been increasingly demanded in relation to the need to use animals in scientific research and the animal suffering so imposed. If, on the one hand, there are the most radical ones who totally repudiate any type of animal experimentation, we cannot fail to see the enormous contribution made by animals in this regard, placing humanity in a position of gratitude and respect, as well as imposing an ethical conduct by researchers . Therefore, this literature review aims to show the importance of ethics in animal experimentation.
