    The objective of this work is to describe greater technical and scientific knowledge about this pathology commonly in Veterinary Medicine in small animals. It's a disease where its etiology is still unknown, but an ischemic factor occurs and, as a consequence, necrosis of the femoral head occurs. In this work, the most affected breeds and which complementary exams are important for the conclusion of early diagnosis and possible treatment were mentioned.
