    Small rural properties play an extremely important role. importance in agribusiness as they are the main responsible for the domestic market supply. Despite the smaller cultivated area in relation to to the other properties, family farming is responsible for guaranteeing the country's food security by providing food for domestic consumption. However, it is clear that there is a competitive inequality of small farms compared to large producers. This is due to fact that large-scale work and the model of large estates, with high mechanization, are certainly not compatible with the possibilities and characteristics of small producers and family farmers.
