    For a long time, special needs students were excluded from social life, and were referred to as “APAE students”, but they are currently included in all levels of regular education. All should receive the same education, following the proposals of the human rights charter and social policies that promote citizenship and democracy. They are recognized by law as people with rights, that is, they have the same rights as a person without disabilities. All are treated equally, but each one has their needs and particularities met individually, so that they find themselves in the same equal conditions.
