    Communication is an essential social issue. Man has developed a number of different systems of communication that make social life possible - social life not in the sense of living in packs to hunt or fight, but in a sense unknown to animals: as communication is an essentially social issue, we find several concepts of communication, in different disciplines: in sociology, linguistics, psychology, economics, philosophy of the nervous system, sign theory, communications engineering and, until recently, mathematical developments appear under the rubric of communication theory (Apud MARCONDES, 2004).

    This work aims to simulate the financial impact of the dismissal of an employee from Grupo Pão de Açúcar and, through Payback analysis of their cash flow, point out what financial impact this could have on the organization, highlighting the importance of controlling cash flow. operational costs that are often disregarded by organizations and hidden costs not estimated in the layoff of labor that go unnoticed and directly impact the company's cash flow.
