- Item Anestesia geral com o uso de Remifentanil em cadela submetida a mastectomia parcial associada a ovariohisterectomia: relato de caso(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2023-10-18) CHANQUETTE, Maria Vitória Marchenta; JACKSON, Giulia Stefani; BORGES JÚNIOR, Darcy Vilhena; OCTAVIANO, Giovana Marquiti; BONFANTE, Juliana da SilvaPatients with breast neoplasms suffer from pain both from the neoplasm itself and from its surgical treatment, mastectomy, which consists of a very aggressive surgical procedure that often causes central sensitization due to repeated stimuli to peripheral nociceptors. In view of greater comfort and quality in surgery and recovery of these patients, it is necessary to use an analgesic protocol appropriate to the level of pain to which the patient is subjected. In Veterinary Medicine, opioid drugs are frequently used to treat pain in various situations, effective and safe agents, such as Remifentanil. This case report addresses its use in an anesthetic protocol, which helps trans and postoperative analgesia and leads to a reduction in doses of injectable anesthetic drugs and in alveolar concentration. minimum (MAC) of inhalants, providing hemodynamic stability during their use in surgical procedures.
- Item Anestesia parcialmente intravenosa para enucleação ocular em equino com realização de bloqueio zigomático, lacrimal, supraorbitário, troclear e retrobulbar: relato de caso(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2023-10-18) OCTAVIANO, Giovanna Marquitti; BORGES JÚNIOR, Darcy Vilhena; JACKSON, Giulia Stefani; CHANQUETTE, Maria Vitória Marchenta; BONFANTE, Juliana da SilvaPain is an unpleasant sensorial and emotional experience, which causes physiological changes in the animal, impairing the quality of life and prolonging the rehabilitation period, which is why veterinarians are constantly challenged to evaluate and treat pain. Anesthetic blocks reduce the need for general anesthetics and analgesics in the postoperative period, and for these reasons, they are widely used in large animals. This case report addresses the main obstacles to enucleation of the eyeball, the best drugs to use and a greater understanding of the technique.
- Item Leptospirose canina(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-09-18) QUEIROZ, Francielle Maria Prodócimo; NOZAWA, Marcela Helena; CHANQUETTE, Maria Vitória Marchenta; BERALDO, Mariana Ramos AndradeCanine leptospirosis is caused by the bacteria called Leptospira. Infection occurs through contact with stagnant water carrying urine from transmitters, most commonly rodents, which penetrate through scratches in the dermis and mucous membranes, reaching the bloodstream, which is ideal for its replication. It has zoonotic power, being transmitted to humans through floods or contact with infected animals, therefore, it is considered a public health problem.
- Item Tuberculose bovina(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-09-18) QUEIROZ, Francielle Maria Prodócimo; NOZAWA, Marcela Helena; CHANQUETTE, Maria Vitória Marchenta; BERALDO, Mariana Ramos AndradeBovine tuberculosis is one of the most important respiratory diseases to be studied due to its fatality in animals, especially in cattle. This pathology generates losses economic issues related to the production and condemnation of carcasses. Cattle can be infected by Mycobacterium bovis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium-intracellulare through various forms of contamination, the inhalation route (pulmonary) being the most pathogenic M.bovis infection. Concepts pathogenesis, lesions, clinical signs and diagnosis are reviewed in order to update knowledge on the aspect of bovine tuberculosis as a zoonosis.
- Item O uso do Remifentanil na Anestesiologia Veterinária(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2022-09-09) CHANQUETTE, Maria Vitória Marchenta; MARINO, Ana Júlia Fornari; LANDGRAF, Leticia Chaim; BONFANTE, Juliana da SilvaIn Veterinary Medicine, opioids are frequently used to treat pain in different situations. These opioid analgesics, which are effective and safe agents, such as Remifentanil, a synthetic selective μ receptor agonist drug, which has a particularity in its chemical composition, which helps to prevent pain and consequently hemodynamic stability during its use. in surgical procedures, allowing its administration in addition to bolus, continuous intravenous infusion for prolonged periods. Its use in anesthetic protocols helps pre, intra and postoperative analgesia and leads to a reduction in injectable anesthetic drug doses, in the minimum alveolar concentration (MAC) of inhalation anesthetics and in a decrease in the rate of propofol infusion in total intravenous anesthesia ( TIVA).
