    Hiperalgesia induzida por opioides
(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-09-18) CAVALHEIRO, Scheila Taís; BONFANTE, Juliana da Silva
Currently, there is an awareness of the imminent presence of pain and its negative consequences for the general state of health and well-being. Opioids are essential drugs in the fight the pain. However, with current information and studies, it has been confirmed that the administration of opioids, especially chronically or in high doses, can lead to a reaction called opioid-induced hyperalgesia (OHI). A paradoxical consequence, given that the purpose of using these drugs is precisely to stop the pain and not to increase sensitivity after using the drug.
