    Systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) is a disease related to lifestyles, environmental causes and behavioral patterns. It presents a chronic and asymptomatic course, with multiple risk factors, and its control is necessary for the prevention or reduction of complications. Purpose of this article is to inform and warn about arterial hypertension and how to treat it with nutrition. The use of nutrition as a treatment for arterial hypertension would be with diet therapy following a restricted diet, but rich in nutrients.
