Item Erlichiose canina(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) BAPTISTELA, Camila Alves; GOIOZO, Paulo Felipe Izique; BANDARRA, Enio PedoneCanine Ehrlichiosis is a disease of great occurrence in several regions of the country, and its transmission occurs through Ripicephalus sanguíneus, more commonly known as '' brown tick ''. There are several species of Erlichia, however the most found is Erlichia canis, which in turn attacks leukocytes, decreasing the number of these in the infected animal. This rickesty also causes several clinical signs, of which the following can be highlighted: anemia, decrease in the number of white cells, hemorrhages and even ocular changes.
