Due to these facts, the present study aims to bring information to the employees of the Santa Casa de Misericórdia “Dona Carolina Malheiros”, located in the city of São João da Boa Vista-SP, about the consequences of obesity on the physical and psychological health of the individual. This research project aims to make the body of employees allowing a change in life habits and preventing the perpetuation of obesity through Behavioral Workshops.

In this sense, we approach different stages of development such as childhood and its insecurities, in search of autonomy.

Genetic mechanisms promote a decrease in the ability to regenerate and proliferate cells, causing a decline in organic, morphological and psychic functions, and the latter can generate mental damage of a degenerative nature, causing dementia states. The present work addressed such aspects related to old age, taking into account the role of neuropsychology as a science that addresses tools for evaluating and screening dementia and altered emotional states in the elderly.

These concepts served as the basis for the objective of building an educational booklet with language that is easy for young people and adults to understand, in order to help in promoting clarification and prevention against obesity.

In this sense, prevention and health promotion practices gain strength and aim to enhance psychological health and prevent possible manifestations of problems associated with them.
